I thought Walton was dead on with his comments about Dream and Francis, but I still can't stand the guy. When a player turns the ball over or makes a mistake in a game, he totally disses them. Then when they do something good, he praises them!

"Larry Johnson just can't hit anything tonight. What a sorry, sorry man."
    ........
"Beautiful move by Larry Johnson! He's such an important asset to his team."

Bill Watson is by far the best announcer on NBC and possibly all national basket ball press coverage.

The guy is wacky and is a pure B.S.'er. He is the only one, even in football and baseball who don't put me to sleep by their monotoneous dumb pretend to be articulate rest of the announcers (i.e. Bob costas).

The NBA is entertainment and the Walton is entertaining.

Bill Walton is absolutely the most pathetic excuse for an announcer I have ever heard. I prefer guys who actually know what they are talking about. Marv Albert and Doug Collins are excellent. Snapper Jones I like as well.

Not only does he contradict himself every other sentence, but he just overexaggerates everything.

"There's no way Scottie Pippen has the quickness to get around Dan Majerle, one of the best defenders in the history of the game."

"Scottie Pippen with the stop and pullup. Scottie Pippen absolutely defying the laws of physics on that one. There is just no way Dan Majerle can stay with Pippen, one of the greatest of all time."

As heard on a Houston at Miami NBC telecast last season. I'm not kidding either.
