    My two cents: I'm not sure what Simmons is saying is fact. He and Morey are friends (Simmons is on the Sloan Conference board I believe), so it's right to wonder, but this looks more like just speculation.

    Mo Williams has player options that take his contract out another two years, at $9 million or so a pop. I don't see why he would not exercise them. So why would the Clippers take that deal and turn down a fully expiring deal that gives back insurance money if it was offered? They'd have to be in love with Williams the player, so I'd say the answer is they didn't turn it down. I'd guess if the Rockets and Clippers discussed a deal at all, the Rockets wanted more (like the T-Wolves 2012 pick or multiple picks).

    Simmons also said the Celtics would lose to the Bobcats last year, round 1.

    espn title should be yanked just for that
