  did he get shot or something? Aren't we like the 4th fattest city? and whats so bad about coming down to Houston for work. So what if we don't attract a large amount of tourism.. so what, he should have just not come at all..

SGReaderRants@gmail.com is the address if any of you would like to write him. Try not to simply piss all over him - be cool and point out where he was unfair.

    -repeat-

I lived in NY for a while and one thing you take for granted in Houston is the ability to jump in your car and go wherever you want to....alone... It gets old piling into a subway with people or getting into a cab and paying to sit in traffic. It's nice to have your own home here and be able to do whatever you want...not really the case there

If I could get their apt for $3000 a month I would be on it in a heartbeat.

But I wouldnt want to live across from those losers.

Must I mention the safest big city in America? :p

Do what I do when people ask me where I was born and raised:

Idiot: You from Texas? Did you ride a horse when you were down there?

Almu: As a matter of fact I did! And last night, I rode your mom!

    That usually ends the conversation.

No. I am usually bigger and younger. They not going to put down my city where I grew up and broke my knuckles at. I can do that myself, thank you very much! Southpark 4EVER, mano! :)

Seriously, anyone that thinks Houston has similar crime rates as NYC is on crackola. There are 10 million peeps in the city. NYC is the safest big city in THE WORLD. Look up the stats. I know the rent is high and all that. Traffic? Yea. That too. But I would give my left testicle to live in Manhattan. The electricity is amazing. There is NOTHING BETTER to create a career in finance in NYC. Fierce competition. Everyone is competing to be the best.I work at Columbia University and attend for my Masters... the greatest minds I ever been around. The restaurants. The culture. The women...well, Houston has some of the most beautiful so ummm...ok.

But NYC is the greatest. Period. I live in Houston 15 years. Every time I visit, I want to come home in shorter and shorter time spans. The last time? 1999. I really don't have an urge to come back. Before that, I went every year from 1989.

I only miss my 3 childhood friends. Thank God they come up and visit.
    And you know what?

I never hear anyone say "I am going on vacation to Houston." Just me!...and Smeg. :p

NYC is garbage period. Some of the most arrogant, obnoxious, people in the world live here. The traffic is a mess, the crime is too high, the taxes are ridiculous, and the cost of living is outrageous. All those people vouching for the city have obviously not lived here their whole life. It's an okay place to be to visit and be a tourist, but living here is another story. Take my word from a long time New Yorker, the city is a shi*ho*e!

Face it guys, Houston is a toilet. It is probably a nice place to live but it is a horrible place to visit. Its too spread out and the traffic is horrible. There is absolutely nothing worth seeing in Houston and no reason to visit.

Houston is known for three things

    1) traffic
    2) humidity
    3) crime

Bill Simmons didn't sully Houston's image. He just reinforced what people already thought. Get over it
