I thought there was a chance (and I was not the only one either) because even he earlier said that "the NBA can wait". Financially, both of his parents are doctors and wealthy, so I didn't think money would be an immediate issue. I was wrong of course. As far as his game, I thought he should have come back to put on some pounds, increase his stamina, and work on his defense. He can do all that for an NBA team now. Speaking of Durant, I just saw him 15 minutes ago. It's good to see that he's still going to class.
I have to agree with him about Tracy this year, he's really turned his game into a true superstar's game. I was very impressed with the run he had with yao out, it seemed like he scored 30 every night. then when yao came back he re adjusted to give them whatever they needed. if yao was having a big night, he constantly fed him, if he wasn't he would try to be more assertive. I'm sure that's very hard to do, not knowing what your team needs night after night. and lastly, he has begun to take the ball to the basket. I was lucky enough to be at monday's game also and the atmosphere was awesome and so was he.
Like I said before, throwing my school's basketball coach under the bus... not so humorous. Considering that he's not even right, that would make him a total jackass. This is not about differing opinions. I follow UT basketball religiously. I know what I'm talking about. Bill Simmons has no idea what he's talking about. I win. That's a pretty ironic statement, because it seems everyone here gets in aneurysm every time Charles Barkley or Charlie Rosen says something about the Rockets.
let me put it like this, you don't like him because of what he said about barnes -- that's fine. he said stuff about yao when he was first drafted, I don't necessarily agree with it, however the guy is funny...and he did later retract it. there is a lot of truth to what he says, but that is the nba. again, if you don't like him, that's fine...but there isn't really any need to yell at everyone else for finding him funny. save your hatred for the jazz, 2 more nights.
