Green could also average 13 a night in Boston but I guarantee he’s top 5 in jersey sales with the Boston Green on.

 

Brown is somewhere between a bad contract and an albatross. Any draft compensation needs to go to Houston, not from.

If it’s brown, something like jalen, tari, brooks for brown and 2 firsts would be reasonable

 

I really don’t want to go after any of these high priced players. I want to trade FVV for a couple of solid players and just be deep AF. Try to get an underutilized gem.

 

I'm not really on the boat that Brown is better than Green (unless we're talking about poop) he's really just had the time to mature. If the two picks were future firsts (not 10) I'm probably hitting the deal button though. Dillon is in the way of growth and Jalen is a distressed asset.

Is that an improvement to our team? Amen is better than Dillon. Brown is better than Green. Murray-Boyles may well be better than Tari. Really depends on if Reed-Cam-WIlliams can be anything close to Holiday-Amen-Tari (basically, idk who you want to call backup 2 last season but Amen/Tari were the terror twins at one point. They're def the first couple guys off the bench in either case).

 

Btown would just run into the same wall in the lane as Jalen. If we are replacing Jalen it needs to be with an elite shooter. This offense needs much more than a marginal improvement. We need to build 4 players around Amen that can knock down 3 pointers. Hopefully, Sengun can get there, but if he can’t he needs to be gone as well. It’s how Boston won their championships and how Indy and OKC are in the finals. Unless the NBA changes their rules, the importance of good 3 pt shooters will stay prominent in winning championships.

 

I get people who don't like Brown because he's on a super-max and he's probably a borderline all-star rather than a super legit star like Tatum. But saying him getting more time to mature than Jalen is absolutely wild. Brown was the leading scorer for the Celtics at age 21 against prime LeBron and the Cavs in the ECFs, a series they lost 3-4. If Jalen Green played even close to that level last playoffs, the Rockets would've likely been in the WCFs this past season.
