lol... you know, you're right. it's just funny that we're really sitting around saying it's not a ridiculous thought at all for Harden to do any of this because it really isn't! even though it absolutely is ridiculous, outrageous, etc. we're on another planet right now, in another galaxy possibly in another reality or verse where James Harden is doing things so out of this world that this is almost become an expectation. that the line between nba2k statwhoring and real life basketball has disappeared. and you know what? he'll probably do it too. enjoy the history folks.
I'll eat my crow about the MVP comment. Looking at the comment section of that article and you'd see why it's much better for Harden to not talk about MVP award and just let his performances and team success do the talking. And as for Harden rising above the Melo-TMac type, I applaud you for believing in him in his first and second season with the Rockets. I am pleasantly surprised at the huge improvement he has made on the defensive end.
That is one aspect that Draymond is clearly ahead as a positionless player. However, with time and better players around Harden he could make be at a similar level in game spurts. Harden will never be Draymond defensively with such a heavy load and responsibilities. No doubt Dray is good defensively but we have yet to see how he does without a stacked defensive or/and offensive team.
March 15th or April 7th is probably the best bet for Harden to accomplish this depending on if the Rockets need to win to position for the playoffs or not on April 7th.
