Is there enough cap space for both Embid and Harden? :D

If only room for 1, and Embid wants to come here, do you take Embid over Harden :p:p

    Umm... Yes?

I'd trade our entire core of Sengun, Green, Bari etc for Embid.

But Sengun is already better than Embiid! ;)

I wonder if he at his current age can still carry a team of shooters and a lob catcher to a top seed in the west in it's current state? He probably doesn't have that kind of conditioning and uses a lot less energy focusing on being a pass first pg. I bet he could play like this all season and then turn on scoring mode in the playoffs because he always seemed to run out of steam by then and people called him a choker when he was doing heavier carrying than anyone else.

lol... Harden aint comin back to Houston... smdh...

the dude just planted the notion as leverage for his next contract...

everybody knows we got a ton of cap and can offer a max deal...

this just holds Morey's feet to the fire...

Folks really believe that the dude who dressed himself up in a fat suit, went out partyin during Covid, openly disparaged the players and forced his way outta town... (oh and wasnt it bc Tilly was racist n tight with Trump or some such nonsense?).... welp... he's just gonna mosey his way back to town to play out his golden years...

lmao... y'all are some fools... lol

    smdh...

On first take with perkins and SAS . He thinks this very well could be Philadelphias last year together and believes there is a legitimate chance harden is returning

I would assume harden knows that. So maybe the priorities have changed since he made that decision. Maybe the grass is not greener, maybe he really wants to finish it all in Houston. Who knows what the motive is a d who cares bc if a player of hardens caliber comes to play for me, I take that.
Now I am sure he is going to have a coach in mind bc Silas is most def not the coach next year.

Maybe he sees himself as CP3 like. As a playmaking point guard he could easily play 7 plus more years and gets to mould the young guys coming in and already here to a system. Still l, NBA players these days seem to chase the easy ring so that wouldn't be here.

He mentioned he his favourite position was Point Guard and he enjoyed playmaking more than scoring. You can see he enjoys his new role more then just keep scoring in isolation plays.

He doesn't have anywhere near the discipline or work ethic of CP3 though. There's no way he makes it that long in the league without those things.

Now maybe late in his career everything changes and he dedicates himself fully to the game, but barring that, I just don't see it.

Probably less exhausting, too, especially after we made him do everything, including sell Landry's during halftime.

I think you are off on this. If they got Wemby that team could win a title during the duration of their contracts.
They are also probably the best two FA available. This is a shitty class and I don’t see how keeping cap space helps at all.

Could we even afford Harden and Draymond? Honest cap question. Harden will get 40+, Draymond’s looking for a max, and a top 2 pick is expensive.

I mean- CP3 didn’t either until he was staring being washed right in the face and went Vegan and worked out like a man possessed.
