This 100%. I like Shaka just fine where he is. Not sure he's ready for the NBA anyway.

Also, Self would be dumb to leave Kansas. Not sure his personality translates to the NBA anyway.

Kenny Smith is interesting though. Good basketball mind, but I'm not sure he has the mentality to command respect from players and motivate them.

He's ready. Give him some good assistants and he will be able to adjust just fine. He brings his own ideas and philosophy with him. He has a identity and and has a clear view about what he wants from his team. He could work well with morey because he also loves up tempo basketball.

Jet will command respect with the two rings he has from the Rockets. If you really listen to him on the telecast, he really has a high BB IQ. It would translate well into coaching. Why would Jason Kidd be better than Jet? Jet would be a good option.

Stevens never had any NBA experience when he got hired either.

Thank God JVG isn't really the main option.

Kenny Smith can coach the first 3 quarters and then Sam Cassell could come in and coach the 4th.

Funny I was just reading an article about Jason Terry. Wouldn't it be interesting if they interviewed him? He just might make a good coach that can get thru to Harden and Howard (if he's still around).

I'm not sure, but I think Kenny may have been a coach for the celebrity game at the NBA all-star weekend.

Steve Kerr didn't have any coaching experience before coaching the Warriors. But, he had been a GM.

I think Kenny would be a better coach than Sam cassell.

I'm not a fan of anyone who's been under Doc rivers tutelage. He's overrate and been lucky to coach some of the best players and leaders. He's not that good imo.

Hey I really feel has what it takes to do what Kerr did in GS. He has that it factor that I think gets thru to players.

Smart and self is intersting. I'm a KU guy so I hope self would stay and I doubt he woulnt but he runs a great motion offense and they always play defense. His teams always out some of the highest scoring in the college ranks so I believe he gets the approach we would try and go with.

Smart I don't know much about him. I know a lot of ppl like him and he did a great job at VCU. His first year at UT was pretty good also and he likes big guards who pressure The ball on defenes. I don't know if he's ready for the NBA tho.

    Nice...

Smart and Self are just as likely candidates as I am.

Disappointing to not see Ollie mentioned. Would love that guy. Smart would be great, but is he ready for NBA? And would UT really let him leave? They can compete with us for compensation.

He's getting severely underpaid at UT, also thanks to Steve Pater$on, he's been frustrated with academic support..

I don't want Shaka to come here mainly because I want to see what type of program he can turn Texas into.
