Can't say that I blame him. When he was hired, I knew he had about 3 years before he got disgusted by the charade that is the Crack Wagon.
Fock!!! I just heard yesterday that he was possibly looking to coach another year or so... I'm not sure who's next, but I hope it's someone proven and we win...I loved having Bill here, however, he didn't win a playoff game and only not sure what's next...
i'm pretty stunned by it.... the next coach is? jimmy johnson steve mariucci bill cowher norv turner mike martz bob stoops ron rivera charlie weis
Deja vu... I'm not sure what's next, but I was betting TO would be gone b/f Bill...maybe that's what happened...don't know...
Despite the NFC and AFC championships taking place yesterday and the Super Bowl looming, the Dallas Cowboys somehow manage to take over the spotlight again. At least there's no direct TO correlation this time.
I heard a rumor this past weekend from a highly credible source within the Cowboys that if Parcells coached one more year for the Cowboys, he would then be replaced by Cowher the following season. But now that Parcells has announced his retirement, I'm not sure this plan can actually work (unless they hire a patsy for a year and then dump him). Just relaying what I've heard.
I think most Cowboys fans are for this move. Look...he had his time to produce a winner and the best he could do was finish his Dallas career 1 or 2 games over .500 with no playoff wins. I'm not sorry we're moving on. I'm surprised he chose to go out on such a bad note. Next season will be a bit more exciting now...that much is for sure.
