More companies join Mercedes Benz and Hyundai in pulling ads from Fox News' The O'Reilly factor due to accusations of Bill O'Reilly's sexual harassment and associated large cash settlements by Fox News.

Companies are not okay with sexual harassment settlements, but they are otherwise okay with Bill O'Reilly.

Maybe I am naive, but while I think it was easy for Fox news to ignore the accusations and even pay out settlements (quietly) but the growing number of advertisers pulling ads (especially premium advertisers like MB and BMW) will influence Fox News to act. While they may weasel out and "suspend" O'Reilly, it at least would be more responsible act than simply ignoring and paying out the settlements...

Allstate pulls ads from the O'Reilly Factor, making the current number of advertisers pulling ads to ten.

UPDATE: an eleventh company, GlaxoSmithKline joined the list. And the list will grow...

Indeed. **** Bill O'Reilly. Your post points out that his behavior towards women is merely one of numerous disgusting things he has said or done, apparently, until now, without paying a public price. Heck, I don't doubt that O'Reilly believes that this too will pass. I hope it doesn't. Time for the hypocrite to suffer for his sins. Losing his public persona via losing his Fox show would hurt the guy more than paying the $13 million, in my opinion, and that hurt. Fox will likely let the man weasel back into their "good graces," though, being a network almost devoid of class.

    lame.

Look at his FN colleague, Sean Hannity; he has been at Fox just as long as O'Reilly, just as rich,
and just as successful as a right-wing flame-thrower on Cable TV.

yet, Hannity has not been a target.

Also it seems like some of the folks suing them might use the fake injury route to make a bogus lawsuit. Why are they all sexual harassment?

i find it funny that all these sponsors are dropping him, but why are they only doing it now? none of this is new news. we have known about oreillys lechery for over a decade.

they are just piling-on at this point...im totally good with it, but thats all it is. call me cynical, but i dont think they actually care about any of this.

As Bill Cosby has shown even those with the best reputations can go down in a giant fireball.

I thought this was going to be a poll. I vote with the option that he's unfairly targeted. It seems obvious.

ThIngs are looking shakey for Bill according to NY Magazine. Rumor is Rupert wants to hold on to him but the boys want to move on. Ad decline, further threats of lawsuits and a culture issue might cost him his job. It doesn't matter. His fans will watch whoever they put on there.

    http://nymag.com/daily/intelligence...urdochs-are-turning-against-bill-oreilly.html

There is a new accusation against him that he called a woman "hot choclate" and would grunt at her like a "wild boar."
