He's from penn st. They just hired the coach from Vanderbilt.

Munchack has never been a coordinator at any level. He's never called plays.

His best other HC option was his alma matar. Why would any other college choose him (with zero recruiting experience) to be their HC?

His next job will be as a OL coach.

I like seeing lots of top names clambering for spots on our staff. Speaks highly of our organization and our future that they desire to be here.

Having former head coaches like Crennel, Munchak, Mangini would be huge. BOB seems to be trying to build a HOF staff around him and I commend him for realizing the necessity of staff experience.

Titans are a heavily zone scheme as well.

We could be the on the way to having the most decorated assistants in the league, while having one of the top few most inexperienced head coaches in the league. I like the sound of that.

Maybe McNair's way of breaking the Bellicheck curse is to surround O'Brien with everyone to have ever served under Bellicheck. Tom Brady will be our QB coach when he retires in 8 years, I guess.

Huh? I thought Brian Ferentz was selected as OL coach? No?

pretty much the anti-gary kubiak philosophy of building a coaching staff... at least the first time around

    Looks like not.

Iowa: Despite multiple reports a few days ago, a source tells CoachingSearch that Brian Ferentz has not accepted the offensive line job with the Texans at this point and it looks like he's going to remain at Iowa.

Nobody knows ****. Nobody is hired until they're hired. Lots of assumptions being made this time of year.

I like what I'm hearing, I do kind of worry about the issue of "too many chiefs not enough Indians" but maybe it can work on a coaching staff.

We have to wait and see. Mike Sherman certainly had a lot of experience when he came in here. He had just come off of being the Green Bay HC (57-39 record). Bruce Matthews was our offensive line coach for a couple of years before Munchak became a HC and he left to join the Titans staff. Alex Gibbs was a good hire.

It's like the justice league. O'Brien is Superman. Crennel is Batman as a strong number 2. Munchak is Wonder Woman and Mangini is Aquaman.

lol why is Crennel a "strong number 2"?

    Crennel is an awful HC.
