You are not getting a 2 or 3 for JJ Watt. Sorry. Watt is not being traded. LOL. Watson has a no trade Clause and your Cap hit would be UNBELIEVABLE. Watson is not being traded. None of the teams in position for the #1 pick would trade for Watson because he has been extended already for that 2nd contract.

 

Why would they trade Watson? He’s about the only building block they have. Lawrence could be a bust for all that we know.

Team as constructed is not going to improve quickly, and with a QB making that much money and not elite (as of now) it will take even longer.
Could only hope a team would be dumb enough to trade Watson for number 1 over all pick (Trevor)

 

I’m hoping he comes back and plays well enough to be worth that contract. It doesn’t look like it right now. Team is about to be in cap hell with no picks. Trade what valuable and take the cap hit early. Lawrence is one of the most “sure thing” prospects to come out in years. Watson has just as much potential to bust as Lawrence does at this point.

 

This is so sad but true. Will take years to rebound from this unless we can bring in an awesome talent evaluator GM and awesome coach.
