I’ve been saying Eric Bienemy for the longest but Joe Brady is starting to grow on me.

How are any of those names more qualified than Eric?

Since more and more people want Bienemy, I’m definitely going Joe Brady

It’s really inexcusable. I still can’t wrap my mind around it.

A 2-14 record in 2013 led to the end of Kubiak on Kirby. O'Brien was hired by franchise founder Bob McNair to toughen up the "soft" Texans, who could never overcome Bill Belichick, Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.

Right now, Texans fans would love to have the best of the conservative Kubiak years back.

Watson is going backward — the 25-year-old franchise QB struggled to complete simple passes Sunday during a 31-23 home defeat to Minnesota — and the Texans are regularly booed inside NRG Stadium.

“I don‘t like to do that, because you grow to like people you work with, and I like Bill,” McNair said. “But I think you have to put aside personal feelings when you want to go in a different direction, and that’s what I did.”

“That was an easy decision,” McNair said. “I’ve gotten to know Romeo, and he’s a great guy and a wonderful coach. The players really love Romeo. I believe they’ll rally around him.”

McNair wasn’t happy with the 0-3 start but thought the Texans could earn their first victory against Minnesota, another team that was winless after three games. Another lackadaisical performance on offense and defense caused McNair to make the decision Monday rather than take a chance the Texans would lose to Jacksonville, a team that brings a three-game losing streak to NRG Stadium on Sunday.

“I did this now because there’s a lot of the season left, and I wanted to take a chance that we can win some games,” McNair said. “We want to win. We’re going to focus on getting ready to play Jacksonville.”

“Bill may have been the hardest-working coach in the league — the first one here and the last to leave,” McNair said. “He put his heart and soul into his job, but I just thought this was the right time to make a change.”

this season is already gone and in the dumps, should have fired him after the KC embarrassment last year.

would have still had Hopkins and already would have hired a coach going in to the season.

Question: Would you trade Hopkins if it ultimately meant Bob would get fired? I love Hopkins as much as anyone, but a change was desperately needed and if we can get the right GM / Coach in here, at the cost of Hop, Im OK with it. Im thinking that if Hop was here, we win a game or two in 2020, Bob hangs around a little longer - maybe past the year. Get the guy out of town now and lets start rebuilding this thing...

4 games in for Joe Brady and he's already being sought out as a coach?
I get that sometimes you have to take a leap of faith but man I'm unsure about this choice.

My list would be the following, in this order. It changes by the minute:

    Bienemy
    Joe Brady
    Lincoln Riley
    Brian Daboll
    Byron Leftwich
    Kubiak
    Mcdaniels

I want one of those guys. In that order.

I want someone super innovative. My list, especially the top three guys, reflects that. Kubiak thrown in there because he's a hometown hero, who never had a real shot with a real quarterback here, and I'd love him to be the one to bring the Super Bowl home. It'd mean a lot.

Why would you want to go back to Kubiak? The man was literally stroking out on the field when he was here last time. I wouldn't want to harm his health. Much less have another conservative HC.

He got his QB when they traded for Schaub.
