He is wrong on the verifiable information, but it wouldn't surprise me if Martin was unhappy, and if other players don't care for Mchale. The way Mchale has dished out minutes has to be frustrating to everybody but Parsons/Scola/Lowry who have received the most consistent minutes.
Well, I know with Landry they leaked a exaggerated story about a supposed knee injury right when teams were looking at him. It's a known fact Morey does this, which is probably part of the reason superstars wont come here. In our particular case, it's not as common as you think. Each key player we've traded within the last few years left unhappy. The Rockets have lost they're "good guy" image that made players WANT to come here from past years. Though I disagree with some points, the writer's take on Morey was fairly refreshing
I'm so glad Martin put this schmuck in his place. I can't believe the guy gets paid to write about the NBA. He is "turrible" in every sense of the word.
He used to be a member here. "The Rocket Guy". Last post was in 2001. Not sure if he's posted with another handle subsequently.
The "Rockets sabotaging Martin stats" conspiracy theory make no sense. If Martin was an expiring contract and the team had a critical need to sign him back without paying him too much, maybe there is an incentive to do so. But Martin has 2 yrs on the deal left, so no need to sabotage him now. Besides, he is a possible trade piece, so why would they want his value to drop right now? Ingram might have heard some rumors (spread by parties with their own agendas) but this theory is pure BS.
Things I have recently seen from Kevin Martin.... 1. Defense 2. Leadership I really think you could justify giving an extra year or two to Martin at 11 Million a year.

I don't even know why I'm posting this but Bill Ingram is at it again [rquoter]Bill Ingram – 03/13/12 4:35 p.m. EST The love affair between the Houston Rockets and Kevin Martin continues to be on-again-off-again, and now it’s more off than on. Martin, according to a source close to the Rockets shooting guard, is tired of being pushed out of the rotation to make way for Courtney Lee. He and Lee are quite close, but Martin has had enough of head coach Kevin McHale’s unexplained rotations. Terrence Williams expressed similar frustrations over the weekend in talking with POOPSWORLD’s Alex Raskin. The word out of Houston is that they prefer to keep Kevin and may look to move Courtney Lee, whose agent asked for a trade over a month ago. Of course, the New Orleans Hornets have interest in Martin and would likely send Chris Kaman out in a deal. They know they’re losing Kaman anyway. As for Courtney Lee, the Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Clippers, Minnesota Timberwolves and Indiana Pacers have all been linked to talks about Lee, and any of those could still be in the running. The bigger picture in Houston – according to Martin’s camp – is that Rockets players are rapidly tiring of McHale, as well as GM Daryl Morey. Either one of both could be on the outs if Houston can’t get this thing turned around in a significant way before the end of the season.[/rquoter]
Lol I posted that in another thread http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?p=6694253#post6694253 and people didn't like it. I would never start a thread about some bull **** Ingram made up. However, it is pretty funny that he is such a douche bag that he has to go out and make up stuff to get his hits on his article. What is even worse is he posted on his Twitter "Trouble in Houston???" and that was the article. He has done everything but show some evidence behind his "theories"
I don't understand why folks dis him- the Rocketguy so much, he is not so wrong about that. If Martin had confidence in the Rockets or if he was happy, he would put on a clinic, performing well
You realize Chris Paul, one of the top 10 players in the league, was willingly traded to the Clippers this year, right? Donald Sterling? Vinny Del Negro? I doubt things like that factor extremely high in their decision making. If they did, then based on the Clippers/Sterling's history, even the bright lights of LA wouldn't be enough to persuade a star like Paul.
