It's the apartment complexes in the area one should be worried about. OP should just message the seller and ask to meet up.

Update: Sent a message following the link of the second ad posting. I asked him to send more info about the bike I believed was mine and a second bike (just to throw him off). Got a reply back that 'my' bike is being sold tomorrow, but that I could meet him up to look at the others. The email he replied back with is the 'craiglist' email but he signed it as 'Oleg'

time to get HPD involved, these guys are professionals and do a thorough job. offer an extra $100 for the bike being sold ((yours) after you get the meetup location.

How do I get him to bring the bike that I think is mine if he already has a buyer tomorrow? (supposedly)

I was assuming you'd meet up where he has the bikes stored.

    Here's the reply he sent

I could offer to meet him at this supposed warehouse, but that's a risk on his part so he might get suspicious. This is also a huge risk on my part.

I dialed the police non emergency # but the theft extension told me to call back during reg office hours..M-F???

My best friend lives right behind the Walmart on Yale. His car gets broken into all the time.
As nice as the area is, I'm content with staying in league city. I don't even have to lock my door here.

    Good luck finding your bike.
