That's true, but when you said you'd have "no problem" living next door to an African-American? You might have meant well with that, but understand it can also be interpreted to mean you think there really should be a problem with it that you felt the need to contradict in the first place, which is racist.

Otherwise, even if you're not saying anything racist (content), be careful with how you phrase things- don't refer to any specific individual as "the black" (or the "____" anything). I've seen you do that before, and it's not to be tolerated either.
