Was about to scream "Simmons u dumbass Cassell wasn't a vet when he played with the Rockets" but then I read the link title...

Simmons is such a Rocket hater, I can't read anything from this guy and his voice irritates my soul.

Yes posted again but who are the vets that are willing to come for the minimum(not like DWest) ? Davis,Granger,Butler didn't want to come here.

 

Actually he's not at all. I think it's frustration more than anything kind of like fans like Carl Herrera and DD who get worked up over certain players. Bill is tight with Morey and I know he wants him to succeed and you know he's said before that it pains him that McHale isn't a better coach since he represents along with Bird the glory days of Boston.

There aren't too many guys in the media like Bill that can speak with an unfiltered fan opinion. Even though I disagree with him a lot, it's still nice to have someone like him balance out all the politically correct basketball opinions you typically get in sports media.

 

I was annoyed that he called Sam a 'veteran' when he was actually a rookie. But I think his point is that you need to have a calm, tough, outspoken guy on the team with cojones. Sam had all that, even as a rookie.
