is it because this thread comes from a rockets fan or there is something wrong with the rockets organization, 3 out of 5 on your list are either currently a rockets or once was a rockets?

Kelvin Cato. I think he got like $50 million based on one game! (And I think that was a preseason game!)

[EDIT: Sorry A-Train. I didn't see that you had already mentioned Cato]

Ron Harper? No way, he was an excellent scoring point guard in the late 80's/early 90's. He just played on some really mediocre teams and got overshadowed by Jordan, Drexler, Isiah, Payton, etc...Then, he was a solid role player for three Bulls championship teams after his knees started going on him.

I don't think he actually started plying point guard until later in his career because the Bulls anf Lakers needed him there. Those teams did not use traditional point guards.

He was a scorer in Cleveland and LAC. Had a great career.

Oh I forgot TONY DELK . He was a half-decent player his career. But in 2001 he busted out and scored  53 points. That is more points that Tim Duncan, Amare Stoudemire, Damon Stoudamire, Jason Williams, Kevin Garnett, Dirk Nowitzki, Lebron James, Carmelo Anthony, Steve Francis, Kobe Bryant, Dwyane Wade, Yao Ming, and Cuttino Mobley's career highs.

Good call. Thought he was big time when he racked up the points, but was never heard from again. Flip Murray is a good call too; he seems to be heading down the Sam Mack path. More to basketball than scoring points.

Michael Dickerson... (injury got the best of him)

Frank Brickowski ... (he was decent every once in awhile, but after that finals run...)

Scott Burrell ... (fell off the face of the Earth)

Lawrence Frank... (at the rate that team is going... if Kidd leaves)

    Phil Garner? :p

Had maybe the biggest HIT in College BBall only to be a bit player in the NBA. Still one of my favorite players, he was the man at Duke.

I probably was a bit harsh with Ron - but I have him lumped in (as the original) with the many next-Jordans that came in with a bang, then promptly fell off a cliff. I mean, how many guys go from averaging over 20 a game to single digits in the span of a season (dividing line was the summer of 94)?

Dickerson never had the head for being a big time player imo. I remember not wanting the Rockets to draft him because he would fold in big games for Arizona.
