If UT would have beaten Arkansas, would it make a difference? OU would still be in the Big 12 title game so this would still be happening. I guess UT could be in there with LSU and USC fighting for a NC appearance
Geez, I just got home and every play Sproles is ripping off 10 yard runs. What OU team is this?? It sure doesn't look like this team, that I myself, said was one of the greatest college football teams ever. You Texas fans can cry all you want, but how do you think USC fans will feel? If KSU holds on and wins and LSU does the same, I take it that OU STILL makes it to the Sugar Bowl to play LSU!! Now that is f*cked up.
USC shouldn't be b****ing. OU would have lost to KSU instead of Cal. KSU beat Cal and would destroy Cal the way they're playing now. Who'd LSU lose to?
I can't believe I was touting this team as one of the best college football teams in my lifetime only a few weeks ago.
I think OU could very possibly still play for MNC. They should be at least IMO. that was holding, damnit.
LSU lost to Florida, tozai. Sorry, but I disagree with you. If OU goes on and loses this game, then it will be a joke to see them in the NC game. The reason for USC getting screwed compared to OU, is due mainly to the fact that margin of victory has been removed from the computer polls. I mean if that was still a factor, OU losing by 21 (if it stays that way) would hurt them a lot worse in the computers then if the margin of victory is not being counted.
Apparently, this is BIZARRO world. Never did I think OU would get dominated like this. I'm a huge Texas fan, but I don't feel like we can complain about missing the BCS. We should have beat Arkansas, and maybe we don't have this discussion. Then again, OU could still be taken over Texas, so who knows. Anyway, a scenario I was pondering. Say Texas didn't lose that game to Arkansas, and was ranked even higher in the BCS. What would happen in a situation where OU loses to K-state, but only falls to #2, while Texas( assuming they were higher ranked, with only one loss) moves up to #1, and K-state gets the automatic bid? I only assume it's possible because if Texas had that one more win, and a game or two elsewhere played out differently, we could be looking at that scenario. If only two teams from a conference can get into the BCS, but 2 are top 2, and 1 is the auto bid....What the hell happens?
