This is why mercy shoulod be eligible in NCAA. Also, this is why the BIG XII blows. Colorado is the number 2 team!?
Texas, at this point, should "deputize" some fans from Reliant to play the rest of the game. This is just unfair cruelty.
Nope, I'm pretty sure Texas Tech is the number 2 team and will play in the Cotton Bowl. Which sn't saying much, this is a down year for Big12
I am an admitted UT hater (I could probably root for the Horns against the Nazi's...but if they played Russia during the cold war I would wear red to the game and eat borscht at the tailgate). But you gotta admire the way they approached this game...not looking ahead to USC, remembering OU vs KSU and thier own Championship game hiccup against Colo and they just dominated.
UT played an amazing game and took care of business more than they were expected too against CU. I'm looking forward about seeing how SC plays against UCLA before even trying to prognosticate about the title game. This game though does make the A & M game seem like an aberration.
As a Texas alum I have a few things to say: 1) Congrats Mack, you finally have your conference championship. I was wrong two years ago after the Holiday Bowl. 2) Vince Young is the man but the Hogs up front deserve a lot of credit. To Justin, Lyle, Kasey, Johnathan and Will, thanks for being the road graders all season. 3) To the heisman voters who haven't cast their ballots yet: Look at Vince's numbers. Then consider he only played a full game a handful of times this year. Do you realize what kind of playstation numbers he could have amassed if he had? 4. To anyone who still believes the archaic notion that Vince can't pass: go back and watch the throws he made today, especially the one to Thomas for a TD. Furthermore, his "pick" was on a ball Limas Sweed should have caught. 5. Go get whoever is the opponent on January 4th, you have earned it. This hook em' is for you boys.
The BigXII is having a down year, but that doesn't negate the fact that a BigXII team has been in a major BCS bowl 8 times in the last 10 years, that's not including 2 teams representing in the same year (i.e. last year w/ OU and UT).
I think you have your ammo to fire Barnett now. Also, I have to admit when I saw your universities commercial about the school motto and saw the word integrity, I immediately thought of Barnett and the subsequent contradiction.
I missed that commercial, but I think I know the one you're talking about. If it's the one that starts with the guy playing bass, that's one of my buddies. INCREDIBLE bass player. Barnett's gone. Probably on December 13th. The state has an audit on the football camps that Barnett has run due on the 12th. If something comes up, we can fire him for cause. If not, we negotiate a buy-out and he's gone. Sounds like we're going to have an interim coach at the Champs Bowl.
Before we played ISU, when it appeared we were on our way to a 9-2 record and a top 15 ranking, he actually rejected an extension because he felt his bargaining power would be higher in a few weeks.
