    The trade could work...be accepted.

But our team...only 2 perimeter guys?

We would have too many inside guys...all we need is Yao really...and shooters. Okay...maybe Reef would be good. But I don't know..I think we should get some shooters and defenders and hustlers and bangers...

Since I'm an out-of-towner these days (LA), yesterday's Spurs game was my first chance to see the Rox this season, and I have to say I was VERY impressed by what I saw.

Mobley and Mooch to seem to be trying to fit in, although they're not quite there yet. But don't forget that Mobley missed significant PT with that injury. Jackson has added the level of savvy and leadership that we might've gotten from Rice, had he not been so concerned about getting his shots. JJ was a GREAT pickup, especially coming so late in the off-season. Kudos to CD and Co. for that move.

Cato is determined to show that last year wasn't a fluke, and I love the fact that Yao doesn't need to be in position to grab every rebound. In fact, the Griffin fiasco and MoTay injury might be the best things that could've happened to us this pre-season because it forced JVG to give Cato some time at the 4. When Mo's back (and hopefully EG as well, with his head on straight), we can still go back to this lineup to match up better against teams with a big physical PF.

Even Boki is looking markedly less scrubesque at this point. Although I doubt he'll ever be a starter, he could contribute as a role player. Maybe it's time I stopped calling him "Bustjan."

As for Stevie, he does seem to be trying hard to change his game. But at those crucial end-of-quarter moments, you just KNOW he's going to revert back to his old self, and that's a good thing -- he's the best on the team right now in those situations, and we want him to take over the game at those moments.

And Yao -- what can you say? He's headed to a place in the game that few have ever been. Not quite there yet, but last year we saw glimpses of just how great he'll be in maybe 20% of the games. This year, that's going to be at least 50%, maybe more. Make no mistake about it: If there's anyone who can take us back to the promised land, this is the guy. And if he and Stevie can get their games coordinated, they are going to be a major headache for most teams around the league.

This next decade or so is going to ROCK. I envy you guys for being able to attend games, while I'm stuck out here with LeaguePass.
