Agreed, I can't stand Rachel. I like Brendon though. Sad to say they both play the game real dumb. They always cry to themselves saying how it's so hard when the whole house is against them. Yet they don't make any other alliances, they instigate fights, and they go on power trips when they win competitions, threatening everyone about they can't stop their love. No wonder the whole house is targeting them! Anyways, the only way I see Matt staying this week is if he does indeed reveal the Brigade alliance and convince everyone that they need to be broken up. Ragan, Brendon vs Lane, Hayden Britney with the tie breaker Unfortunately, I see little chance of this happening.
Double eviction tonight, b****es!!! Floaters better grab a lifevest. I'm pulling for Brittany or Lane to win.
Disagree somewhat on that... the only true power trip I saw from B/R was the one "floaters grab a life vest!" comment that was obviously directed at Kristin. I used to like Britney, but now I think she's the dumbest one in there. Brendon tried to make an alliance this week with her and Ragan, which honestly makes sense for all of them. But she's playing personally and not thinking with her head, so she wants a final four with the three Brigade... even though they all want her out. She's convinced that somehow her and Lane are a team... when he's never even made an official deal with her. Last night, Britney figured out that nominating Matt was a bad deal for her (but good for the guys)... yet somehow let Lane talk her into it anyway. Same deal with Ragan. Brendon tried to buddy up with him this week, and it makes perfect sense for them to do so... yet Ragan is so caught up in his personal dislike that he can't see it makes sense to align, from a game perspective. Once Rachel left, I think Brendon has actually played very well, both physically as well as the social game. Problem is, Britney and Ragan seem to believe they're playing project best friend, not a game to win $500,000. They're the dumb ones, imo. Hope one of them goes.
Rachel consistently started arguments. She turned everything into an argument. It wasnt always a power trip, but some kind of drama, whether she had the power or not. I think it's obvious brendon was heavily influenced by his allegience to rachel. Many times he backed her up and attacked others just to have her back, even though it was clear he thought it was bad game play. Now he is slowly starting to come back down to earth, didnt even celebrate after winning the veto. This is precisely why they should have voted him out, not rachel. Rachel will always find a way to make herself hated and that would have left her truly alone for the rest of the game. That's an easier target, than Brendon, who is going to slowly gain the trust of others. I think britney and ragan are playing an ok game. Theyre strategy really isnt that bad, as these floater types have been able to cruise deep into the game before. I think they're just trying to stay away from drama, which often includes partnerships. The downside to it others can control you an therefore control your destiny, which is fine if they like you, but not if they dont. Probably why she wants brendon out so badly. I wouldnt mind seeing more of this though: Spoiler
I think it's a fair strategy to a certain point, but once you get to the final six or so, floating doesn't really work. You need a firm alliance you can count on, because you have to know other people have them - and the voting pool is small enough that you need someone with your back at all costs. Floating-only strategies can get you somewhat deep into the game, but they don't give you a true shot to win. The numbers have dwindled enough now to where you should KNOW that if you have no true alliance, you can't slide by anymore because others DO have alliances. Simple probability. The reason she wants Brendon out so badly is because he called her a few bad words, in the obvious interest of getting himself kicked out over Rachel. It had nothing to do with him truly going after her in the game. If Brendon really wanted Britney out - he made three separate nominations last week when he was HOH. None of them was Britney. That should be a pretty clear signal that he's not targeting her, but she's so locked in playing the game personal that she can't see it.
The reason he didnt nominate her was because she promised him not to go after him, which pretty much saved her that week. I think it's safe to say Matt leaving was a higher priority for Brendon, but she's at the top of the list anyway, after Ragan. No one else left really got into it with rachel. I think her mistake was believing the whole house would continue to hate brendon. She figured if he was public enemy #1 and also happened to dislike her (whether it's true or not doesnt matter, as long as it sounds logical), then he was a perfec target. No one would get upset or question her decision, therefore not making her a target the next week. The season was just a bad one to have an alliance. Too many weak players, too many wanting to play the role of nice guy and just float around. For that Everyone left at this point was pretty much seen as a nice person and never started any drama unless provoked. Brendon was the only exception and i think they all felt he was an ok guy, but rachel had his hand up his a**. But i agree they'll need alliances pretty soon to keep moving up...they'll really have no choice as the house will have to split in half (brigade vs remaining 3, assuming matt is gone)
I forgot to say... Before the show started i checked out some of their intro interviews and i remember Brendon said he was going to try to use the women to get ahead, maybe even hooking up with them, something like that. I really doubt it, but if at the end he admits he played rachel and used her to get head and get a jury vote, he'll automatically be the best player ever because he'll have fooled EVERYONE.
Matt really blew it by throwing Ragan under the bus. As soon as Matt realized that the brigade was starting to turn on him, he needed to convince Brendon, Britney, and Ragan to join him in a four person alliance. This would have been difficult because Britney and Brendon dislike each other, and Britney is being influenced by Lane to a degree. If Matt had pulled the non-brigade members of the house together and had been honest about his involvement with the brigade, he may have been able to save himself. It now looks like the brigade is in control and Britney and Ragan will have to win challenges to make it to the end. I'm starting to dislike Lane.
Yeah, this season pretty much sucked. The Sabateur was probably one of the stupidest twist ever on Big Brother and she was out the first week. There wasn't really a group/underdog to cheer for, at least for me. I liked Brendon but got really annoyed with Rachel. And I have to say, Kathy was the most boring BB house guest ever. She didn't make any alliances, sucked at EVERY competition, and didn't cause any real drama in the house to make the show interesting.
Hayden and Lane seem to be the only ones in the house who've slipped through without anyone really disliking or feuding with them. I really hope Ragan tells Britney about the alliance and Lane gets exposed -- like Matt, he's got two alliances as well but he's been totally under the radar. Ragan has no reason to keep his suspicions to himself at this stage.
If Lane was smart, he would join with Britney and Ragan, and hope Britney chooses him instead of Ragan. Cause it's obvious Hayden and Enzo are tight.
you have the two strongest competitors in ragan and britney (not saying much, but she's won something) against possibly some of the worst. Hayden won tonight, but that seemed like a fluke to me. Too easy and dictated by chance. Next up will probably be an endurance comp and ragan will win, which guarantees one of the 3 brigade members will definitely go home to even things up.
