Bob McNair is not stupid don't underestimate his intelligence. He made a figure of speech in a certain setting that's dealing with specific issues on purpose. He's smart enough to communicate in whatever way he sees fit. He said what he wanted to say and he meant it. Naturally Bob wants his business to succeed regardless if racism is involved.

To Bob racism may or may not be a part of business and if it is oh well as long as the wealth is being maximized. That comment was directed at Colin and all the people that are kneeling with him. Everyone isn't kneeling for the same reason Colin is. It's affecting business which is affecting Bob and now Bob has to tell us how he really feels regarding the situation.

That's ok he has freedom of speech and now he's apologized via a written statement. We just know where Bob stands makes it easier for the next racist issue to pop up and this time be more prepared because that's the positive thing. When your naturally like that something else will happen and you will find yourself making another excuse for this guy again.

    Are you trolling?

That comment wasn’t directed at Colin.

How do you not understand that?

Didn't say they would be succesful, but that they could force a vote. These kinds of things have a way of spiraling out of control very quickly, especially in today's social media, 24 hour news cycle world.

The NFL has a brand and an image to protect, and will do so at all costs. They would likely not allow one owner to interfere with that mission if they determined that their brand and image (and revenue) becomes at risk.

Colin's actions is the foundation of what started this entire ordeal in the nfl. That's what I'm pointing at. Players followed it and the NFL tried to turn it into a positive by kneeling for other reasons but failed. McNair's comments points to the Colin and the players that followed that are taking a stance in a empowered role that's affecting his money. Bob's personal feelings is what were exposed.

Bob's comments were pointing to all the players (and Kap is no longer a player) so he was pointing to Tom Brady every bit as much as he was pointing at anyone....and his comment was absolutely valid. You can't have the players essentially running wild doing whatever the hell they feel like to the detriment of the league.

Except he wasn't trying to quote another saying with his comment like McNair was.

It's just so bizarre, given the reaction, you'd have thought that Bob McNair actually said something offensive rather than just pointing out the obvious, that the players are ill fit to run the league because they don't have the best interests of the league in mind. As such, they need to establish rules that will prevent the players from harming the league in the long term.

I mean, that's not controversial stuff at all so yeah the reaction of some here does feel like trolling.

Forget the comments from people here on this forum. Take a look at the actions yesterday of the Texans players leaving practice in protest. If you were GM or coach,
how would you have handled that?

Those type of comments should be held in owner only meetings though and not in front of players because they are over sensitive and not able to grasp the concept. He should know better.

Negative Tom Brady isn't affecting his money in a negative and he is not protesting for black justice in America. Tom Brady is following what the team or organization wants them to do as a team in New England... he is not doing anything that is ticking anyone off. That's number one.

Number 2 the comment McNair made was uncalled, bad for business and classless. Just like people of this time of 2017 have adapted to new technology and not offending homosexuality ect... he should do the same today regarding the phrases he uses and the things he says. Bob McNair does not get a pass.

Don’t start any Texans players on your Fantasy going forward. Those guys are clocking out of work till next year. Don’t blame them.
