So he singled out only the black players?

He hasn't said anything regarding the protests. This was a phrase used in business(inappropriate) at a business meeting, concerning an issue that is affecting the business as a whole.
It is not up to employees to dictate rules and policies, they get paid to do a job and expect upper management to give them the tools to be successful. When the actions of those employees hit the bottom line, I'd expect owners to address it.
The players have every right to protest and be proactive for what they believe, that shouldn't be on company time.

    I agree with you.

    This conversation is crazy because...

We are seeing a logical perspective and an emotional perspective in battle right now.

No I'm not off base. It's a common expression that's fits the situation from the owners perspective.

They can't let these guys kill the golden goose that's good to everyone

    Edit:. No offense to geese

    See what I did there

there is no rule in the NFL that tells players they can't kneel so they are not dictating a rule that isn't even there.

The protests are about the black players, the meeting was about the black players.

You're the "rational" one leaving out emotion while ignoring all the facts.

    What a joke.

NFL employees are the product and have a union. Employers can't just dictate to them. Another example how you're not rational and just spewing nonsense.

Nothing said about kneeling. I'm not even discussing that.
Bottom line is players actions are being interpreted in a way by the majority of consumers enough to dictate a meeting regarding the issue. That interpretation may not be fair to the players, much like the interpretation of a cherry picked line by a businessman in a business meeting isn't fair.

it's also not fair that unarmed black people are getting killed by police and not receiving justice because of something out of their control either but here we are.

    life isn't fair.

What they do on the field is the product. Not protests. They have every right to protest, not on company time though. It's like you said they do have a union, and if they feel so strongly about this issue, use the union and collectively bargain for it. In the meantime owners have to come up with a solution for the decreasing revenue to make sure these "precious" players get theirs.

The joke is you interpreting a comment to fuel your own narrative. You want to be heard and for people to listen to the issues you feel are important but don't reciprocate the listening aspect.

What important facts did I omit? I still think it is unfair to label him a racist simply because he is an old white man. I feel like all of the Texans players' reactions I've heard are directly to just the words he spoke, are there reactions I'm missing? (Note that I take everything Brown is saying with a huge grain of salt since he just lost a lot of money losing a contract dispute holdout, this might be wrong but I can't help it. I feel that has to effect his opinion.).

    misconstrue
    [mis-kuh n-stroo or, esp. British, mis-kon-stroo]
    verb (used with object),mis·con·strued, mis·con·stru·ing.
    1. to misunderstand the meaning of; take in a wrong sense; misinterpret.
Actually, what Bob did was "misspeak". What you and all the other butt hurts are doing when you automatically attribute something to what he said that he didn't intend is "misconstruing". Come on, if Bob is never allowed to say anything incorrectly why should you? Everyone should be held to the same standards.
