You did forget the part where he gives them millions of dollars for their families to live lives that 99% of people in the world dream about.

    Stop.

I understand the idiom, it's just horribly applied in this situation. They're protesting something they feel is an injustice (misguided or not), not trying to overtake a company. It's got to be discouraging for the players to hear their owner say something like that.

Bob took a huge dump on his players and its up to him to make it right. He needs to speak to them not the HELP not his PR team. I'm a TEXANS lifer and this hurts me to my core. I can only imagine how the players feel. It's the NFL and it's also a working environment. If the CEO of my company refereed to me in an "expression" as a prisoner. he would learn fast that he needs those "prisoners" to be successful. This is a whole different group of players; These "prisoners" are millennials and they ain't with this type of crap. Bob owes his players an apology and he should have made every effort to be there and done it, Not Bill , Rick or Romeo. HE and only HE can make this right...What a stupid comment from Bob...:(

Poor McNair, being stereotyped as a racist after he gives a million dollars to a white supremacist and calls his black players inmates in a meeting about police brutality of black people.

Is that even ****ing serious? Lol

You only have a right to be pissed off at Mcnair. He made the statement, which can't be refuted.

The players like you and I have every right to react to it how they please.

This distraction was utterly unnecessary and will not help us get free agents in the future. Who ya want to play for as a black athlete? Mcnair or Khan. Ain't close imo.

As we have discussed previously. Your thought and mine may differ. I live in the corporate world and have heard that expression several times. It isn't one to be taken in a racial way. Never has and never should be.

In regards to my anger at McNair. He created the distraction that will not help in winning a football game this weekend.

Just tell them that you "regret that I used that expression," and "never meant to offend anyone"

Context matters. If you ignore context then you can say anything to anyone and there's no problem. Unfortunately reality works a little different than this fantasy world you advocate.

Im really curious how Watson is taking this. The rest of the team will follow his lead. If he ignores this and plays through it I would gain an even higher level of respect for him and we could actually get through this without an impact on the team's success.

Oh! That makes it ok, I ****ing forgot! We all just ****ing forgot that part!

I also forgot that he gave these jobs to these men out of the goodness of his little confederate heart and not because they work tirelessly in and day out at their craft to be in peak physical condition to absorb all the bullshit they take on Sundays.

How can they not see that? We are all so blind!

Even in the corporate world, if one person is offended, doesn’t that still cause a problem?

Players sure are soft and ultra-sensitive these days.
