few years ago YES i'll take him. Now he is passed it. So i guess we should look for a younger center.

For a contract around the minimum, I would sign him to a two year deal. Give him an option for the second year. He'll play really well for a year then probably opt out.

He would be a terriffic mentor for Dorsey and he would also be able to play 15 minutes easy. Between Wallace, Dorsey, Hayes, Scola and Landry, we would easily be the most dominant rebounding team in the league, which is essential to the type of uptempo game we want to play.

Hire this guy on a minimum contract to be a player-coach and let him tutor Big Dorsey on every single one of his skills in his skillset.

Wasn't Joey Dorsey compared to be the Next Ben Wallace???

I think Ben should pay teams to play in the NBA.

If all things fail, then sign him to a minimum contract for a year. He can still give the team 10-12 mins of quality defense and rebounding.

Yeah I do also think we should sign Ben to a minimum contract...and with his physical strong body he'd be able to play up to 15 minutes and give us great defense. But I doubt he has the desire to do anything on the court anymore. He's talked of retirement even before the playoffs finished. Talking about retirement while being on LeBron's championship-bound Cleveland team? I see a huge red flag on commitment and desire there.

Plus he took a 10 million dollar contract buyout out of his 14 million dollars he's owed by his contract. So I doubt he wants to come to Houston to earn 1 million when he can just sit on the bench all day in Phoenix and earn that 4 million.

That said it'd be awesome if he would come here and sign for the minimum. He's be the best coach and inspiration our boy Joey Dorsey could ever hope for.

Good point but the chance of playing an important role and on a team that needs his services badly then He might just reconsider and play for the Rockets. He might get a shoe deal in China. :D
