Don't expect a mirror image, but think he does have a lot of the same traits. Only they are not as exaggerated as his BBT character.
He's not horrible looking and from my living in Omaha for nine years I could see her being a little less aggressive, more conservative, setting a lower bar for guys or just being flat-out impressed with his education; it's like three or four states worth of either insurance salesmen or blue-collar and farmer types.
How about we just assume that Johnny Galecki is somewhere between Leonard and his appearance on Entourage where he was creeping on Sloan, and assume that he's a typical sitcom actor who's ridiculously rich, could get any of the dozens of 22 year old mattresses (model/actresses) in LA, and move on. I like the BBT most of the time, but as I said many times in the "Community" thread, it's safe and inoffensive; a 22 minute exercise in mental masturbation vs Community's typical 22 minutes of "trying to pick-up a chick at a bar, and possibly having a really good night or a really disappointing one." The show is really starting to have a problem now with Sheldon, and I can only hope that Amy is the way the writers are going to rope him back in to being a somewhat functional human being. I've given up on them being able to write for Raj; the fact that they still don't let him talk to women without alcohol handcuffs them so badly, and what has the payoff been? One episode with a deaf golddigger? A bunch of whisper jokes? An arc I'd love to see would be the show should take a cue from Entourage (don't think that's ever been said before), and giving Penny a part on some in-universe TV show; at least then she's not a complete loser at life with nothing going for her who's a full-blown alcoholic with no friends outside of Bernadette and Amy. Maybe Leonard helps her get the role by coaching her through an audition with his super geek skills, Sheldon gets upset when she's not being true to the source material, Howard makes some joke about the costumes, and Raj sits there and does nothing while the laugh track plays. Then you can write in a part for some other nerd icon (Nathan Fillion? Jamie Bamber? Tamoh Penikett? Enver Gjokaj?) to play themself on the TV show, start dating Penny, and get the love going again between Leonard and Penny; because as we all know, the main thing that makes the heart long for an ex is seeing the ex start dating someone else.
I think it was the last episode. They kept saying there was a whole new Big Bang after the first one (1 hour total). My DVR didn't record it. Did anyone catch it and was it really a new show? I'm looking at CBS.com and imdb, and it doesn't appear like there really were 2 new ones.
http://epguides.com/bigbangtheory/ No new episodes this week. epguides.com is my only source to see if new episodes are on and when they are scheduled to air. just put in any show title after a / or just search for the show.
Sorry, I was unclear. During one of the last new episodes, either 2/23/12 or 3/8/12, there were promos during the first episode at the regularly scheduled time saying there is a whole new episode AFTER the current one, so a full hour of BBT. But, like I said, my DVR didn't record the second one. I'm sure someone knows what I'm talking about. What was the one after it?

Kaley Cuoco is annoying. I don't understand why at first she was hot and fit looking with push-up bras, and now she has gained like 15 pounds and never has cleavage. They need to swap her out with another generic blonde.
Cuoco used to be a cute little thing, now she's a broad shouldered..broad... definitely not aging well, would still bang
You must not watch a lot of sitcoms then, because there has been a butt load of talent when it comes to females in sitcoms.. May I present.....
wasnt crazy about the show at first but for some reason it got me hooked around mid season 1. im now on season 4. penny's breasts ARE sagging but the writers have done a good job making me connect with all the core characters. not so much mayim bialik and the bernadette character though. it is interesting that blossom really has a phd in neuroscience.
She broke her leg before the beginning of the season two years ago; she probably put on a lot of weight from that. I have NO idea why she suddenly started looking so broad-shouldered though. I still enjoy the show but I think it jumped the shark when it introduced all the female characters. The focus went away from being a group camaraderie, buddy show towards a generic sitcom. It's like a nerdy Friends now.
I watched five or so minutes of this tonight. The worst show I've ever seen by a scarily large margin.
Clearly, you have watched very little TV. Anyone who was around in the early 90s will remember some of the spectacular failures Fox trotted out that make a waning BBT look positively Shakespearean. Not to mention any TV show currently on MTV.
