If Boren is going to say nothing, which is what that quote means, then he should just stick with "No comment."
This. Please do not pay any attention to anything this ego maniac says. Complete buffoon who just needs attention when he's lonely.
Yo. What happened to LSU getting all butt hurt about the Thanksgiving day game? I haven't heard much about it. They only wanted to play at Kyle Field, not at home so they canceled it? Tha ****? Truly wish the guys with the cash would get our game back on Thanksgiving night.
Boren needs to quiet down and/or people need to stop paying attention to what he has said. He speaks for nobody but himself (not even the OU Regents). He's run his mouth and embarrassed himself ever since the whole expansion talk started.

I think Houston and Cincinnati will pretty consistently be in the top half of the league in football. Kids want to be in big conferences and big cities. Schools that are already at the bottom shouldn't care, just focus on basketball and enjoy the free rent.
I think big city appeal is overblown. Plenty of great programs recruit from small towns, plenty of big city programs churn out crap.
Texas in the Big 10 would be kind of cool...but I think Nebraska would do anything in their power to block it.
All of these programs (P5 non-PAC) are in cities with populations over 300K (arbitrary cutoff, but whatevs) Pitt Miami Boston College Maryland Rutgers Texas LSU Georgia Tech TCU Ohio State Minnesota Louisville Vanderbilt Kentucky NC State
The problem with the big 12 and expansion is that the teams that make the big 12 a power conference aren't interested in staying in it. Texas and OU could easily move to some other conference, making the big 12 more of an irrelevant conference than it already is. I just don't see the big 12 surviving as a power conference much longer. It's going to turn into what the big east turned into and conference usa.
Yes, quite possible but there is a lot more to it. UT would not exercise the kind of power they have in the Big XII in another conference. The Big X, SEC and ACC already have established power structures. That leaves the PAC or going independent. Notre Dame is learning that going independent isn't great for recruiting. I doubt UT does that. The PAC is possible but I highly doubt the conference gives them the power UT would want. So that leaves UT forming their own conference potentially, with Notre Dame as a strong possible candidate to join with OU. In that scenario most likely a number of existing Big XII teams would join them anyway. OU could leave the Big XII and get an invite to any of the big conferences, but the political pressure to take OK St. too will be enormous. Also OU relies strongly on Texas recruits and not playing UT, BU, TCU every year could hurt recruiting. Most likely OU goes where UT is. The instability and terrible leadership by UT/OU is why I view the Big XII as the fourth most appealing big conference (SEC/Big X/ACC). However the most likely scenario is the Big XII surviving in some form with Notre Dame possibly joining and 1-2 other schools poached, and schools like WVU pushed out the door. Regardless, it is smart for UH to try and join for many reasons. Even if the Big XII collapses, UH would be in a far better position to be absorbed by another power conference like the ACC or PAC or whatever conference UT/OU would form. What I can see is BU bolting for the SEC if they continue winning over the next 4-5 years. It would be a very smart move by BU and the SEC wants the Texas market and there is a power vacuum in Texas right now.
