I think Mizzou wins today fairly comfortably, and then gets obliterated by WVU in a high-scoring national championship game.
I either want both Mizzou and West Virginia to win or both to lose. I'd like to see the BCS chaos and debate when Georgia or Kansas, neither of which even made it to their conference championship games, makes the title game.
Don't know....I've heard it's a possibility, but there would be lots of teams arguing for that last spot- USC, LSU, Georgia, KU, etc.
Don't you have to win your conference to play in the BCS title game? I'm pretty sure Georgia can't play for the national title.
Nebraska went to the championship game in 2001 without winning the Big XII North. They were undefeated until lost to Colorado in their final game and Colorado went to the Big XII championship game instead. Very similar to how Kansas' season panned out so far this year.
Nope...If that were true, Michigan fans wouldn't have been clamoring for that rematch vs. Ohio State in last year's champ. game. I guess it makes sense in that, theoretically, the two best teams in the nation could both be in the same conference. But what does suck is that if that is the case, the one that wins the rematch would win the title. Not very fair, but I guess it happens that way sometimes.
On a side note, while the "FBS" continues to shun a playoff, the "FCS" is actually considering expanding its playoff field from 16 to 18 teams. There would be 2 "play in" games kind of like they have with the NCAA basketball tournament.
