Guys, you do realize that if Tech holds on to win this game, that the board will never hear the end of it from Fatty Fat b*stard?? You do realize that, right?
The thing is, that argument means nothing to me because I said from the beginning that both Cal and Texas deserve to be in the BCS. It's the Michigans and Pitts that are keeping the BCS from being the top 8 teams in the country. Sure, Cal laid an egg in this game, but I still think we deserved a BCS berth based on the regular season. However, I will be changing my signature tonight.
Not only are we overrated, but your Tech team was way UNDER-rated. Y'all played a great game and looked really good out there. (Except for the part where Tech went for a TD on 4th and 6 up by 14 with 3 minutes left, but whatever.) Congrats, drapg, FattyFat, and other Tech fans out there. EDIT: Yes, I changed my sig. Wouldn't you?
D*mn! Way to go TECH! How many of Cals receivers were injured, anyway? I hope Leach doesn't leave Tech anytime soon. Tech's up-tempo and aggressive offense is quite enjoyable to watch.

Craig James was letting Cal and the PAC 10 have it...saying they just weren't that good, and that USC didn't deserve to be in the Orange Bowl.....we'll see. I think OU rolls USC.
Wow, I'm a little surprised that Tech really had their way with Cal. From the way people talked Cal was this dominant team all year and should have beaten USC. Looks like they were just a tad bit overrated....I love it!
awesome. while the whole "bcs letdown" hangover thing appeared to be in effect again, at least our holiday bowl was actually competitive last year. tech had this sewn up at 38-17 in the 3rd quarter. as for why they went for it on 4th and 6th, they pretty much had no choice. their kicker apparently sucks (they said he missed all 6 fg attempts from 40+ this year) and a punt wouldn't have done them any good from where they were (about the 25 right?). may as well just try to pick up the first down and the single covered receiver meant they would be going deep to get it. making the big xii look real good with this win. on the one hand, i really want usc to crush ou. i don't think they'll even beat them, but i really want them to crush ou. however, if UT beats michigan, then if ou wins i'll at least have the consolation of that making the big xii look dominant and us look even better with our 11-1 rose bowl winning season. however, if UT loses, then i hope ou loses by 50 no matter what, big xii pride be damned.
Well, this should put to rest that BCS controversy. The Pac-10 is a weak, overrated conference, and Texas is > Cal.
HeHeHe... While it wasn't the 77-14 score I expected, it was still a drubbing!!!! THIS GAME ROCKED! The fact that one of Cal's original TD's was questionable, along with a "gimme" TD at the end lets me know that Cal had no serious chance at this game. The only bad part about this win is it let people know that Leach is good. Anyhoo, I've been celebrating this for a few hours, and I don't want to gloat too much. Needless to say, a.m. radio or not, I WILL be calling 610 on Monday. GUNS UP BABY!!!
Top 25 year-end ranking for Tech. You fans of bigger programs may not understand the excitement, but I'm jubilated.
As is most of the previous generation in my family... I can't begin to describe the shock and dismay I caused when I went to UT. But I put my longhorn pride aside and went for the raiders. Hell yeah. Shoot 'em up Raiders! (isn't that it?)
As probably the loudest Cal fan on this BBS I'm going to take my hat off to Texas Tech and the Red Raiders. They came to play and it looked like CAL didn't, especially the defense. The Bears overlooked the Red Raiders and didn't have enough poise to stand up when the things got tough. Congrats to Texas Tech. It was a victory they earned.
Just curious how many of you now saying that the BCS was right to exclude CAL because of their Holiday Bowl performance, or more precisely lack of, said the same thing about UT after last year's Holiday Bowl?
The only thing is Texas didn't spend all month whining about why we didn't get in. We thought the 2-rep limit was stupid but we knew there was nothing we could do about it. We didn't fault Kansas State for getting in instead of us because they beat OU, something we didn't do. Many Cal fans (not all) spent the entire month dissing Texas and Mack Brown for what they called lack of class. Texas laid an egg last year and got lambasted for it in the media. We also played the #2 team from the Pac-10. Cal played the #4 team from the Big XII.
