That would normally be the case... but I can't seem to overlook the fact that our supposedly closer is absolutely horrific from the line. We need someone to make FTs and if Yao shoots almost 88% from the line, with no one else even remotely close, its very hard for me to let go of that.
It is indeed a very stupid question to ask about who's quicker between Yao and Howard. Only sick animals and rotten vegetables can miss your point.
Let's save the discussion for after tonight's game. btw, i didnt know howard's only 6'11.. i thought he's taller than that.
im a big big fan of big men match ups... bit of old school.... but im afraid it wont be a nice match up ...and...Yao will lose out this battle... because he will spend the majority... of his time at the high post.... 15 feet from the basket...
you are right.... we need to move Yao to the paint... forget trying to free up space for a bunch shooters who cant hit the side of a barn right now.... the big stiff needs to be aggressive and take all the shots even if he is 1 on 5
i think it's hard to tell. i dont know if howard is heavy enought to keep yao out of the paint. if they will run one on one on Yao, i believe howard will have trouble guarding yao.
I think Howard is going to want to show he's arrived this time. He will take it to Yao tonight. Yao will get his regular numbers and we will have the same old question: will the other members of the Rockets show up tonight? They'd better, or this will be ugly.
