    It won’t last unfortunately but if they make the child tax credits permanent and ongoing you’ve effectively created UBI which will continue to take a major bite out of the problem.

    Hair splitting details aside, the government should support more children and raising families. Maybe even bring back the bad and unsubtly racist stigma of "welfare queens" if necessary.

    Who else will prop up the pyramid scheme when Boomers park their fat entitled asses onto the back of Social Security?

    Lol what? They've been eligible for social security for like 10 years now..

    Government paying people is not a pyramid scheme any more than an insurance company paying out claims is. That zero sum idea needs to be discarded

    There are less people supporting beneficiaries through their payrolls, and this negative trend is expanding.

    I'm not sure how you can discard demographics and accounting but you're free to try.

    You can laugh it all the way to the bank when you actually retire and pull benefits at what...80?, but we will still have a demographics issue that you seem unwilling to have a constructive conversation over.
