Bickerstaff was purportedly the reason the Rockets had a semi-decent defense last year. Give him a chance. Not like there's anyone chomping at the bit to be our coach that has legitimate NBA coaching experience.

We can do the same by adding Ben Simmons to this group and still have a shot at Durant. This could put us as champs as early as next year.

The Rockets are three games from the #3 seed and 4.5 games out of the #2 seed.

We're not cooked yet. Another 2-3 weeks of this and yes, I'd agree that 7th-8th seed would be a best case scenario. As it stands there is still time to right the ship.

Bickerstaff has worked with the offense and defense.

TR Dunn and Bickerstaff worked on the defense.

Chris Finch and Bickerstaff have worked on the offense.

Basically the Rockets lack any really good assistant coaches because Morey just didn't find them important.

So the "best" we can do is have Bickerstaff take over at 35 years old and having never been a head coach at any level before.

Whenever I think of Bickerstaff all I can see is that video snippet of him and McHale looking like a couple of fools without a clue as the Blazers wiped the floor with us in the 2014 playoffs. I have no confidence in the guy.
