How do these online games work? Are you attacking real players or the computer? And after you win a battle do you get something or is it just the fun of winning why you play. I'm just an x-boxer wanting to know what I'm missing out on.
yes you play against other people (real) as far as winning, you have a team that wins the battle and also individual scores (kills + capturing flags - team kills), top 3 scores get a lil star so yes it is just for fun but your not missing out with the x-box, you have get x-box live and play games online as well, Ghost Recon is an excellent x-box live game
I love it, you play online against a number of players. I played a game with 50 people in it last night. 25 on each team. The maps are pretty big, and the foilage in the jungle is just amazing. I think it must be. I have a Geforce 5200 and it can't handle the game with all the settings up high. My card is still up to par with most games, but this game has so much in it that it takes more to run it. My card still runs it fine though, just with some special effects turned down. My guess is your video card. I am about to start playing online right now, as soon as I click post.

If I find a killer game I don't know if I can pull myself out to warn you about it. I normally join one of the top couple of games that show up on the refresh. There was a sweet 50 player game earlier, that kicked so much a**. So many people, makes it so much fun. Oh yeah, I am thinking of getting the Geforce 5900fx card. I've really been wanting to get some of the BF games. I don't have any of them right now. My online gaming time is limited, and I've been spending it playing Everquest. I have a character named Kelvin, and my wife's name is Kayto(Cato was already taken.) We try and line it up so that our name tags are visible as Kelvin Kayto if anyone were reading from left to right. I doubt anyone has caught the Rockets reference yet, but maybe eventually someone will. If the Rockets got a lot of attention in the playoffs someone might here the name Kelvin Cato somewhere and put two and two together.
Cool. I will be looking for yalls names when I load BF to play. It is very addictive, but work for the past couple of days has limited my play.
I'll post a server again tonight when I play, Oski showed up last night to play with me, but it was late and the server had emptied out by then so it wasn't much fun
I've been playing. My handle is the same as here and everywhere else. I am in a clan (unLeashed) -- I actually got the game expressly for tournament play. I intend to just be an alternate though, because I'm not good or anything. If cf.net players need an adoptive home, Absolut needs some players. And, I'll join you there.
I don't know about the clan thing, I was looking into it last week and a couple of the places make you "follow orders" and you are stuck selecting the kind of soldier as they want you to. I am sure there are some more "fun" ones out there. still looking. Hope to see you guys online. Tell me when you start to play. I will try to join for a while.

Sounds like you'll enjoy yourself better playing pub. A clan needs a military hierarchy in this game if they want to win. In fact, it seems to me to generally be the case that teams are too lax and could be a lot more formidable if they could tighten up their command structures. Competitive play is really different from pub play.
lol i wish dude, but im at work We could all chip in and rent our own server 12-16 slot server ( w/ Ventrillo server thrown in) will run us like 40-70 bucks if we have interest I could set up a paypal, take donations and rent us a ClutchCity server, I'll commit to donating the first $10
instead of doing that.. check with DaDakota and see if he is playing BFV..he used to have a server setup for BF42 that some here used to meet at...
