To clarify: I would encourage him to keep playing hoops but play hoops for the right reasons and not as a facade for his egocentric attention seeking platform on mental health. Additionally, and to the contrary, he does seemed to have garnered national attention and was very vocal in the Canadian league the last two years when I lived in Ontario. He was also suspended many times from the league, took "personal" time off both seasons and has now not showed up in Turin for preseason camp with a very reputable Fiat team. I'm sure the dude has issues . But he was blessed with great basketball gift and because of that was given multiple shots to make a living playing a game . What he was not blessed with however , was good advice and a support system for managing his issues .... either that or he never matured . Unfortunately, he probably won't figure things out until he hits rock bottom .
