*Beware* Over-The-Phone Scam

    I just usually give these people fake information. Just make up SSN, Routing numbers, Acct. numbers, etc...

    you can always run a free credit report on yourself if your really worried.

    There's a website where you can block numbers and calls like this. Telemarketers aren't allowed to call cell phones.

    Yeah I got a call about two years ago telling me that I can win $2,000 by doing a phone survey. They asked for my SSN and bank account...I told them that I had no time to do anything at the moment, and then I talked to a friend (who did telemarketing for a few months) and she told me that telemarketers and other company's like that aren't allowed to call cell phones. She told me that it's probably a scam...the people called back a week later and I let them have it. Told them they shouldn't do ***** like this and asked where they were calling from. She froze up and then I asked her if this was a scam. She kept stumbling and I told her to shove it and she hung up. I went to that donotcall.gov and haven't got a call like this again.
