The guy has actually been good again this year. Last year I was hoping we would trade him. All I know is our winning percentage is up since he is back.
This is only partly true. And curious how OP's bias says the NetRtg and super high ORtg for Bev is because he plays against the opposition bench. lulz He plays 50% of his minutes with Harden. He is the first to sit in the 1st Q and 3rd Q when Gordon comes in at the @6-8min mark. He also starts the 2nd and 4th Qs when Harden rests. He is playing equally with Harden and the 2nd Unit....because MDA wants EGo to get minutes with Harden as well. EGo is Harden's 2 in the Pistol / 21 Series package. We don't run that with Bev. Harden runs the Ryno/Capela stuff with the starters, and 5-Out motion....plus, of course, the ISOs.
Bev is a high energy guy, which is something the team needs. Whether or not he plays 1st team defense is irrelevant, in the dudes opinion. We need his energy and hustle, it really ties the room together.
Bev had a few games where it looked like he was running in the mud . This is easily attributable to coming back from injury and lost conditioning . If he can keep his minutes managed then the quickness will be there . I am excite
