One option would be to give away Lin to a team with capspace for a future pick and pick up Brooks option. We can roll with Beverley / Brooks next year and have max cap space for Howard.
Lin is untradeable with that 15 million dollar poison contract in year 3.... I think the team would be better with either Lin or Brooks and Beverly, and I actually think Brooks would be a better partner with Harden than Lin due to his 3pt shot and ability to shoot from the catch. DD
Only the Knicks would've had to pay 15 mil. Every other team only has to pay $8 mil. This has been discussed a million times before.
Are you sure, I understood it to be that ONLY the Rockets got to split all 3 years in an average. Where did you hear that.....?? I would love to be wrong. DD
If Cisco/Brooks got Lin's time we would have won these last two games. Harden did choke but we aren't oging to take him out of the game.
There is no poison pill on Lin or Asiks contract. Also this game shows what I said earlier. Beverly & Harden out there puts way to much pressure on James to create every play. Beverly doesn't create for his teammates & himself as well as Lin does. Been saying this since the begining of the season to everybody that wants a team with a PG that just shoots 3's & defends. Harden can't be expected to playmake, score & play defense he isn't lebron.
Neither. Neither one of them is good enough. Lin is just a guy that can be a starter, but nothing special, and Beverley is a backup and not more than that.
Yeah, because we always hate the player that tries to gut it out for his teammates in the playoffs and never criticize those that don't play or come out due to injury. Come on, man. Lin playing little over a quarter of basketball especially given Beverly's early foul troubles didn't hurt the team that much it wasn't the man he was guarding that went on fire and scored 17 before the first quarter was over.
It really depends on what we want as a PG. If we're looking for someone to play at an all-star level, then I might say neither even though Lin has shown some flashes. I don't really think that's what we need, though. We just need someone that will distribute the ball intelligently, play some defense, and hit 3's. Easier said than done, but that's what I would look for. The scoring can be picked up by getting an actual low-post threat.
