I honestly still don't comprehend why Phoenix was so quick to get rid of Amare. If anything Nash should've been the one on his way out. The Suns will suck for a very long time with a aging point guard and absolutely no offensive threats

I think Amare will suffer more without Nash

How many all-star years do you think Nash has left? Once he's done, the Suns are in a good position to rebuild. Amare is good enough that if they kept him instead of Nash, they would've been between the 8-10th seed for the duration of his contract.

they wanted to re-sign him but I think Amare and the front office already had some friction.

Nash can make any decent NBA player look good. Look at the drop off in Marion's numbers after he left. I expect Amare's efficiency to drop off, although his overall numbers might be a little higher since the Knicks don't have much else so he'll get a lot of FGAs.

To be fair, Marion is pretty good. He posted some great seasons before nash ever got to phoenix.

    Nash:

    19.9 pts, 9.5 asts, 4 rbs, 52% fg, 42% 3pt

    Amare:

    20 pts, 2 asts, 8 rbs, 44%fg

Hakim Warrick has a higher PER than Amare.

    Nash makes everyone.

Nash made Stoudemire what he is. Now the fact that he can't play defense or rebound is even more highlighted.

Marion is a finisher. Stoudemire is a finisher.

Turkeyglue is most definitely NOT a finisher. I think he'll have worse stats than he did when he was in TOR, by the end of the season.

Nash is so good though, that Warrick will probably have a career year.

Losing Amare will hurt the suns, but they will still win 45 games and Nash will average close to 10 assists

Amare has no skills, all he can do is dunk and knock down an uncontested mid range jumper, when he actually has to create for himself, he sucks.

Amare will still get 21 and 8, but his FG% will be terrible and the Knicks will still be a lousy 30 win team, which is good for us.

Amare is getting 24.6/8.7 with .523 shooting. His FG% is down a little but ppg, assists and blocks are up more than 1 each. NYK is poised at 11-9 and looks like making playoff will be easy.

On the other hand, while Nash is doing OK with his own numbers. Suns is at 10-9 and not a lock for playoff. Even if they made it, I doubt he's gonna be happy with first round exit.

Looks like Nash will miss Amare more.
