HeyP, yes and no. I think that Kagy's comment that the arguments were "basically a draw" implied that he thought that Beto/Bob/Jim was serious. But then I have a hard time getting sarcasm sometimes, so maybe I misinterpreted. I think that Beto's postings are not all serious, and are definitely designed to rile others up. Still, the fact that his opinions are so consistantly right-wing makes me believe that he is in part expressing his true beliefs. Like you said, he only hits one side. I loved the original Rainey joke, and appreciated the recent "your cat wants to eat you" thread. So I know he's got a good sense of humor. ------------------ Bingbong was set up, led to an untimely death in the prime of his life for no other reason than pure malice. Things like that do not go unavenged. Sometimes it spills out onto the field of play.

I still say it's wrong to assume that Beto is uneducated based on his reliance of what you call propaganda. Just because you don't agree with him, and he's adamant in his beliefs, doesn't mean his intent is to cause a commotion. If anything, I think he just loves to argue, and I have yet to see anybody clearly beat the guy in a debate. IMO he is arguing what he actually believes in, and if you think he is putting out false info then prove it, don't just call him a troll and dismiss his evidence. Second, that's a nice theory, but how do you propose you argue evidence when many of his arguments are based on statements like: you and I both know there is only one reason to register the guns of law abiding citizens- so we know whose homes to go to when the gun confiscation begins. That's his whole argument against gun registration. There aren't any studies or "proof" to counter it except common sense. All I have to say is anyone who argued in the first Kyoto thread just likes to argue for the pleasure of beating each other in a debate. If you really wanted to discuss the damn Treaty and how Bush can produce a Win-Win by signing it, you'd join haven, madmax and me in sirhangover's thread.
