Don't you remember Trump accusing Cruz's father of being in cahoots with Oswald? Trump took that cue from the National Enquirer. There was a story recently how the Enquirer staffers had been told to hype up Trump as a candidate by going after whomever was nearest in the polls. They made up the Oswald thing and were stunned Trump used it.
Considering how often we've seen false information supporting false information supporting false information I think some of our Project Verifalse supporters have fallen victim to the persistence of misinformation dilemna. Now I know the following article is from the American Scientist, and that unlike the dotard, "science" can lie to us; I present (truncated) a potential explanation for why many low information voters fall prey to misinformation... Why Misinformation is Problematic "At least three observations related to misinformation in the contemporary mass-media environment warrant the attention of researchers, policy makers, and really everyone who watches television, listens to the radio, or reads information online. First of all, people who encounter misinformation tend to believe it, at least initially. Secondly, media systems often do not block or censor many types of misinformation before it appears in content available to large audiences. Thirdly, countering misinformation once it has enjoyed wide exposure can be a resource-intensive effort. Knowing what happens when people initially encounter misinformation holds tremendous importance for estimating the potential for subsequent problems. Although individuals generally have considerable routine experience encountering information now considered to be false, the question of exactly how—and when—we mentally label information as true or false has garnered philosophical debate. Wikimedia Commons The dilemma is neatly summarized by a contrast between how the philosophers René Descartes and Baruch Spinoza described human information engagement centuries ago, with conflicting predictions that only recently have been empirically tested in robust ways. Descartes argued that a person only accepts or rejects information after considering its truth or falsehood; Spinoza argued that people accept all encountered information (or misinformation) by default and then subsequently verify or reject it through a separate process. In recent decades, empirical evidence from the research teams of Erik Asp of the University of Chicago and Daniel Gilbert at Harvard University, among others, has supported Spinoza’s account: People appear to encode all new information as if it were true, even if only momentarily, and later tag the information as being either true or false, a pattern that seems consistent with the observation that mental resources for skepticism physically reside in a different part of the brain than the resources used in perceiving and encoding." All of this is interesting and worth reading............ but in the case of Trump..... most of his hardcore supporters just like him because **** runs down stream and Trump blames all of his supporters problems on fancy liberals, the browns and blacks. They don't care if what he says is factually true or not, because at the end of the day they know that he will find someone else to blame and make them feel better.
i asked to be taken off their list every single time and they would tell me i would be removed, but the next day someone else would message me. i ended up getting 15 texts, 4 calls and a door knocker over the last month...5 texts in just the last week. it really felt like harassment and if this was the cruz campaign doing this crap people would have made a much bigger deal out of it. i really hope they dont do that again in 2020.
I can't see Beto winning.......... but if he some how did win, he would like emerge as the Democrats nominee in 2020 and would have better than a 50% chance of being President...... which is amazing if you really think about it.
He's said that if he wins then he won't consider a Presidential run for 6 years. Hopefully he actually means it. If he loses, and it's close, I could see him running in 2020 for sure.
i really never seen this many people hyped up since obama election-... I think Beto has a good shot at this..
Have y'all seen the Cruz bathroom tweets? lol I don't think I want a senator with that small of a bladder
I know he has said that...... but lets see how he feels if Trump looks very beatable and the field for the nomination is weak.
But then the Senate would lose a Democrat. Its unlikely he wins, but he is the hardest working politician in America.
Hotness! If I could find a twitter post of Ivanka wearing a ted cruz tank top, I'd post that too but none can be found.
