His signature behind the back dribble Thunder dunk. That's got my vote.

How soon people forget. That Shanghai Shake vs the Pacers was a tremendous display of footwork, agility and coordination. He faked out both Miller and O'neal with that move. This behind the back dribble was just one move, that "S-Shake" was a spin move + a ball fake + an up and under move all strung together seamlessly.

Yao also had a sick drop step on Shaq. He dribbled in front of Shaq for like 5 to 6 seconds, and then turned right for a layup. Shaq did all he could to push him out of the paint, but Yao's spin move simply threw him off.

I voted for that too. But I guess people here are so used to this kind of play by Dream that it doesn't impress them much. ;)

You are correct... it was to Stevie... against the Kings (right under Brad/Vlade's noses for a layup.

some other plays that need some honerable mention-that drop step and spin onto shaq last season when he actually outplayed shaq in that one game. Another was his facial on ben wallace his rookie season i think?

I am pretty sure big Z, Brad Miller, Rik Smits, and whoever elseYao was compared to that is not even worth mentioning cannot do any of the moves listed.

Agree, the pass was to SF not to Moochie. I vote for the behind the back yesterday because it disproves three things that he can't dribble, jump or run. Man we had to wait three years before we found out that he had skills, he looked like Shaq out there.

He could do that always. In CBA, he pulled this off when he was 20. He used to dribble shake off his man for a dunk in CBA. BTW, the poll should add one more that he dribbled move all the way from corner shaking off his man for a dunk in his rookie season. I forgot what game was it. That was sick as hell.

How about that Dunk over Shaq after being hammered by Shaq on the head?

How about that power move and slam in Big Ben's face?

That big pick flat out level Gary Payton

I like the fall on your ass while going after the loose ball and then completing a behind the back pass while sitting on his butt!

The behind the back dribble crossover and dunk is awesome...Unbeliveable play...My brother asked me if I saw and I didn't but I downloaded it (thanks guys) and it was worth seeing over and over again...Almost as good as seeing Jessica Alba in her GQ spread...;)

Maybe this is the same play I was thinking of. It was in that game, and it involved him making a Dirk-like lefty scoop shot, and I think he was fouled as well. And of course it was so great that as usual we don't ever see it again.

I hope JVG is not putting the clamps on his creativity out there.

I think JVG is actually encouraging Yao to play with more feel and I think JVG has the rest of the Rox trying to encourage Yao. If you look at the play, Wesley could have passed it to T-Mac but he passed it to Yao instead.

I thought like Yao that his recent slump was because he was playing like a robot, he had gone back to that boring low post game, dragging his butt last up the floor on transition etc.

I saw more playing in the flow of the game and feel yesterday. I hope he keeps it up.

The slap pass was cool, but I always thought the behind the head pass to Moochie was better. Personally, I like the Shanghai Shake against the Pacers...

    but thats just me

That one was definitely awewome. Too bad he didn't get an assist out of that one although we did score on that possesion. Wasn't it in the recent Suns game?

I'm eating more and more crow these days over JVG. Far from being the inflexible tyrant he's actually telling Yao to do the opposite of what he's telling the rest of the team.
