I think you guys have listed some of the best. Personally, I like: Appaloosa Open Range I know they aren't on par with the rest, but as far as newer westerns I dig them. Can't beat old school stuff though.
The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly is the greatest movie of all time, so it is by extension the greatest western of all time. After that I'd go with: 2. Rio Bravo 3. The Outlaw Josey Wales (which I saw for the first time this weekend). 4. A Fistful of Dollars 5. For a Few Dollars More 6. Blazing Saddles 7. Tombstone 8. Red River 9. Unforgiven 10. Lonesome Dove
The Good, The Bad and The Ugly is not only the greatest western ever made, but the greatest movie ever made. Period.
I don't watch too many Westerns, but I think I've seen three that are often considered amonst the very best: The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly The Searchers Once Upon a Time in the West I've never seen Rio Bravo or Clint Eastwood's other movies, though.
Unforgiven was the first movie that came to mind. Then Tombstone but I can't put it above Unforgiven.

The very best western Film of all Time was.. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly Other greats have been mentioned here already (don't forget about Eastwood in High Plains Drifter) and.... believe it or not... as cheesy as it is (and it's VERY cheesy)... I actually like The Quick and the Dead
