Have a "loser leaves the BBS" thread, which in your case would have been yourself against Mad Max, macalu, Mango, Mr. MEOWGI, and about 12 others. It would have been a little hard for you, hotballa, to defeat that many people. Actually, this is the correct response - I know because I have done it.
I shoulda known it was a lost cause when my asian brothers didn't support me. there will be a thread about that later.
Take his advice and then ask for the thread to be locked. Other people made an investment in time and effort to read your thread and gave what they thought were quality responses. If you just walk away and ignore the thread, there will be some people gunning for you in the future because you refused to support the thread you started. You had a reputation for posting certain types of topics on the BBS that were different from most people. The Disney restaurant story is outside of your usual genre and that is why it is a struggle for you. If you review the previous threads that you have started and compare them to the Disney restaurant thread, there were probably some people posting today that didn't go against you in the past.
no i fully support my original position, nor am I ignoring the thread. it's just a bit difficult to deal with that many people arguing against you.
no thanks, i need an outlet for my bad news files (although I really haven't posted anything like that in a while)
the sad thing is this looks a lot like some of the group photos me and my friends took when we were younger, cept we wore shirts and were better looking.
Just admit that you were wrong. If you want to take a date to a fancy Disney restaurant, start dating girls over the age of ten.
I didn't see the optiion that had draw attention to yourself by starting another useless thread...oh wait...
The thread topic is outside your usual genre and going Head to Head against so many people seems to be more than you bargained for. Disney didn't get to be the size it is by making very many marketing mistakes. Based on potentially losing around 40 customers/families each year in the restaurant based on the new rule/policy, they have likely made the correct decision. Based on the responses by others in that thread, most people also think that Disney made a sound business decision. Recognize that the situation with the Disney thread is different than other threads that you have started and it calls for a different decision to be made by you. Take the loss now and move on.
can't do it. I disagree with the decision and stand by it. ok heres' a good way to end it. it's 5PM, and it's time for me to go home
