No it wasn't. It was Beast Slayer, or something like that.

    Wrong.

Red Dawn was the first widespread released movie, but The Flamingo Kid was the first.

I guess i always thought it was "Woman In Red". They must have come out very close to each other.

Edit: Red Dawn was August 10, 1984, WIR was August 17, 1984.

That story is wrong. I remember all of the hubbub back then (mainly because I was 12.) Damnit. I just need to remember what that movie was called.

Well, damnit. I just did a search on movies, and that one has disappeard off the face of the planet. It was not a very good or popular movie, but it was the first to have the PG-13 rating. I wonder why it's not showing up anywhere.

Does anyone know what movie I'm talking about? Something like Dragon Master? This is ticking me off. How does a movie disappear?

Yeah, it's not that you could be mistaken, it's that a MPAA recognized movie simply disappeared. :p

Well, I still should be able to find it. It wasn't a blockbuster by any means, but I checked 83, 84, and 85 to be sure. It isn't anywhere. I think it starred that lead character in "V", or someone who looked a lot like him.

Found it. Came out in 1982, apparently.

And it is showing its rating as "PG." But it was definitely rated "PG-13", at first. It was all over the news, at the time.

It's widely known that the PG-13 rating was due to two Steven Spielberg movies that came out after that movie. Find some evidence to back up your claim that it was originally rated PG-13, then dropped back down to PG or admit that you were wrong.

Seriously, it's not that hard to do.

Ummm, the only thing I could possible be wrong about is that it was released as a PG-13 movie, and then due to the backlash, the MPAA relented and gave it a PG rating.

I distinctly remember all of this when the movie came out. Seriously, this is a really dumb thing for me to make up, if that is what you're thinking.

But you're right. There should be something about this somewhere.

Sorry, PG-13 was CREATED as a result of the 2nd Indiana Jones movie with the priest pulling out people's hearts.

    Beastmaster predated that movie.

    (insert TJ-like closing here)

    ------------------------------

    Full Metal Jacket is awesome.
And I agree, if Band of Brothers was an option, it would win hands down.

What else is there to be wrong about...that's what we're debating. It was never released as a PG-13 movie. PG-13 came about due to Temple of Doom and Gremlins.
