Completely disagree, really. Look at the drafts say the last 5, 10 , 15 years. Nodoby has done better with their draft position than the Suns; not the Lakers, not the Jazz, not the Rockets, no-one (this not coming from a Phx fan admitted from a Rockets fan). Rockets are probably top 5, for sure top 10, but not the best. Bottom line is w/o the great fortune of being able to draft Hakeem (though some say we tanked like SA did to get Duncan) and the even greater luck of being able to draft Yao--the Rockets would certainly not be considered a special organization or have much of a future outlook--at least outside of Houston. Phx traded trash for Barkley? I thought they had to give up an all-star plus another starter or two. As for Googs, Penny, etc., like Pippen, Cato, Oestertag, other generally well run teams have made some bad moves. It all comes with the territory of taking risks.
YEP... they are just a bunch of idiots, the thing is other teams made the same stupid mistake... I wonder if we would of done it... I think the rockets have learned from previous drafts for sure...
