Cheers Simpsons Frasier through the first 6 seasons or so and anything to do with Scrubs would also be good choices (though IIRC you love Scrubs so you probably already have that if it's out). those are the cream of the crop though there are many other good ones.
FAos, you are a wise man for mentioning Get A Life. Mr. Show is a must have The Ben Stiller Show is good and The Young Ones is also available on DVD and well worth owning.
Oz seasons 2 & 3 are good. though they only have 8 episodes each. Sorta ironic to see Rick Fox playing an NBA superstar convicted of rape. why are the X-Files and Star Trek sets so expensive? Buffy, Angel, Simpsons, Friends are at least under $50 per season.
I had completely forgotten about the show Get a Life! Chris Elliot is a genius. His talent is highly underrated. No one else in this world could have ever managed to so thoroughly convince me how much I love the song Alley Cat and dancing to it.
I still have many of the Chris Elliott appearances on tape somewhere. The Man Under the Seats. The Panicky Guy. All classics.
Probably because Fox and Paramount have to pay a lot of residuals to the stars and producers of the respective shows. The good news is that Fox just lowered the MSRP of The X-Files season sets down to $99.95(including the upcoming Season 9). That means you oughta be able to pick them up for 70-80 bucks which isn't quite as stiff.
from the shows that aren't out: seinfeld and newsradio. i just figured out newsradio is on biography like 4 times a day but i think they run the same episode the whole day.
i enjoy watching the apprentice survivor and american idol aren't bad either. as far as non reality shows i like the simpsons, and that new show oliver beene is pretty funny, i guess i'm into cutesy humor.
