True Detective has put me to sleep everytime I've tried to watch it. At least the memes are funny to me now.
Geek binge watchers: Chuck Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Joss Whedon who?) Babylon 5 (looks cheesy at first, but it gets better as you watch and doesn't stop getting better until end of season 4) Deep Space Nine (for binge watching Trekkies)
Is anyone watching Peep Show through a streaming service? I just checked and it didn't look like Netflix or Amazon had it streaming.
I think it's still on Netflix (although I havn't checked in a couple months). For some reason it's not listed in the 'British shows' subcategory. I had to do a search for Peep Show. Super hans!!
My coworker won a Halloween costume competition at a live music venue last year as Kenny Powers. The band picked him out...."You're Kenny ****ing Powers. He was a full year of +1 admission to all shows. I didn't really know about the show until he told me the story. For some reason, however, I can watch comedies. Maybe it has something to do with all the other options. Just finished The Americans Season 1 in 3 days -- i'm on the tail end of a 2-week vacation, so had plenty of time. Getting Season 2 tomorrow, should be done in a week.
Ok, so I'm considering the following. Please comment if you wish on any of these series if you've watched / whether you would recommend : Suits Mad Men Justified Dexter Orphan Black
I really enjoyed that show. Too bad it got cancelled. I had no idea the drug dealer was played by Kid Cudi until after the show ended and I was reading the wiki about it.
Check out the show Luck on HBO. It is about horse racing and gambling. It ran for one season and was cancelled due to some horses dying during production. It was a pretty decent show. Dustin Hoffman, Dennis Farina and Richard Kind are on it.
I love Orphan Black and Dexter (last couple seasons were subpar, though), and I have heard good things about Suits, too. I would also recommend Veep on HBO or Parks and Recreation on Netflix if you want comedy.
