one of the reasons chicago is doing poorly this year is because of their lack of penetration; the other is the lack of an inside presence. chicago is a jump shooting team you guys are already complaining that we don't penetrate enough, so how would trading away tmac and wells for guys like nocioni and ben gordon gonna help us? not too mention chicago is loaded with tweeners -> ben gordon, nocioni, tyrus thomas, hinrich, yet we complain about how shot chuck hayes is, and how slow battier is
They will have a **** load of cash next season to sign whoever. This year is pretty much done with for them.
i would say no to any trade for Ben Gordan as this money grabbing dude will want at least 10m for his contract extension. And who will we cut to accommodate the extra 3 players?
If you are going to start a trade thread, at least consider the current roster situation. We are over the tax and you think the rox are going to add two additional players in a 5 for 3 trade. Then they would have to cut two players and eat more salary and pay a higher tax with no guarantee that it even gets us to the playoffs. If anything we would look to dump an additional player in a trade to free up a roster space and possibly resign a cheaper player like Mike Harris.
I propose no more trade rumours involving chicago. Chicago is a really bad team, even when they made the playoffs last year, their players would not fit into our system involving T-Mac and Yao. Individually, all of their players are subpar save for Ben Gordon. But Ben Gordon is the Desmond Mason/Rashard Lewis/Ricky Davis type player that teams overpay since no other free agents are around at that time. What Houston needs right now is what teams like Los Angles and Chicago Jordan era did, have 2 go to guys and surround them with role players. You got Scola and Battier already, give cutters like Aaron Brooks and Kirk Snyder some more playing time and bring in Novak that should solve the problem.
try this trade http://games.espn.go.com/nba/featur...45&teams=10~10~10~10~10~29~29~29~29&te=&cash= bash as you wish
I think this would be an OK trade to improve our fortunes this year. We'd lose a little experience and you might have to cut Novak... but overall it'd be a good short-term move. http://games.espn.go.com/nba/featur...32&teams=10~10~10~10~10~10~10~22~22&te=&cash=
