The absolute best soundtrack ever which is miles above and beyond it's closest competitor is the soundtrack from... Repo Man. Valley Girl had a good soundtrack as well.
Mrs. Doubtfire (James Brown, Aerosmith, Frank Sinatra) Rocky (all) Karate Kid II Lilo & Stitch (Elvis, Wynona Judd) My kids love all of these.
Another vote for Singles. Also will plug Saturday Night Fever (just for its historical relevance) and 1492 and Blade Runner - 2 awesome soundtracks by Vangelis. Both are better than Chariots of Fire, IMHO.
Garden State Good Will Hunting Pulp Fiction Rushmore not surprising, 4 of my very favorite movies as well.
lord of the rings --all 3 but two towers was my favorite..oddly the one that didnt win an oscar crouching tiger gladiator glory braveheart last of the mohicans the harder they come aladdin transformers the movie (cartoon) probably some others i am missing honorable mention:the title track from the da vinchi code (chevaliars?) is amazing though overall the soundtrack is average
Definitely. I liked the Matrix trilogy (Rob Dougan is the shiznit). Also, Happy Feet. I was dancing through that whole movie. And at the time it was released, you couldn't escape the Waiting to Exhale soundtrack. Those damn songs were everywhere. Oh, and lastly, we can't forget the movie soundtrack that launched a thousand trailers, Requiem for a Dream.
